Regarding the "Advertising" tag on this article
[edit]I created this article. I have requested help or suggestions for improvement from the user who tagged it as "advertising." Since my goal is to contribute neutral point-of-view, encyclopedic articles, I welcome all helpful suggestions. Thanks, Leoniana (talk) 20:16, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree that this article reads like advertising. Where? There is no puffery. It cites over 15 good NPOV references and describes a technology that the co. invented and that (if you are interested in opera or assistive technologies) is certainly of importance. Regarding anonymous edits and multiple reverts
[edit]Anonymous editor 88.149.238.13 and 88.149.255.198 edits and reverts edits in this article. It would be great to talk directly to this editor. He adds unreferenced or poorly-referenced (from blogs, gossip sheets) information on former shareholder Alberto Vilar to this article. Suggestions, anyone? Thanks,Leoniana (talk) 18:35, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Regarding Notability
[edit]Original, assistive technology and the co. that invented and produced it is notable! The product is in opera houses around the world. So where is the lack of notability? Leoniana (talk) 18:25, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- More Regarding Notability
- Smackbot has tagged this article as lacking notability. The tag asks for good refs. The refs (more than 20) include articles about the company and its technology from the New Mexico Business Weekly; the Albuquerque Journal; Auditoria; the United States Patent and Trademark Office Patent Full-Text and Image Database; Los Alamos Laboratory; Daily News Bulletin; New York Magazine; Public Radio News and Information in Houston, Texas, KUHF 88.7 FM Houston Public Radio; Entertainment Engineering; Rocky Mountain News (Denver, Colorado); the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe, NM; Appliance Magazine; Los Alamos National Laboratory News, Los Alamos National Security, LLC, US Department of Energy's NNSA -- and more. I think that's a reasonable number of good references and more than adequate evidence for notability. Leoniana (talk) 14:25, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- I do not understand this tag either, and I agree with Leoniana's conclusions. THIS TAG SHOULD BE REMOVED and, if replaced, justification for its existance should be saught. Viva-Verdi (talk) 04:11, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
- I have removed the tag and tweaked the text a bit, especially making the references more obvious as to their subject matter and value to the article. The reader can now more easily see where these refs come from and come to a conclusion as to their value. Viva-Verdi (talk) 01:13, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
Webpage Link
[edit]The link currently shown for the company's website appears to point to some sort of Chinese domain parking service. I believe this is the correct website, but it also looks pretty empty, so I'm not sure if there's something more complicated going on. http://www.figaro-systems.com/ 173.197.68.130 (talk) 18:07, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Likely dead and gone
[edit]The company website URL is unused and for sale. The phone number I found on Facebook and Manta returns a fast busy. This company is probably dead and gone. That's original research. THe last public fining was with the SEC in 2013. I'm not sure you will find a usable death notice anywhere. Rhadow (talk) 19:05, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
